Stranaska Scientific LLC continues to build on the tradition and expertise of the Center for Analytical Chemistry, a former premier organizational unit of the National Bureau of Standards (NBS), now known as the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Established by the United States Congress, and headquartered in the Washington DC area, NIST is a federal agency of the Department of Commerce. Today, NIST continues its vital mission and role as this country’s national metrology institute (NMI).
Ever since his dual NBS and NIST tenures, Dr. Jerry Messman has been strongly influenced by leading analytical chemists and scientists affiliated with this important NMI agency.
