MILITARY VETERANS

Many American service veterans honorably discharged from the military have technical experience and credentials that were earned during their service years. Much of this technical background is relevant and closely aligned with the engineering requirements for certain employment positions within the life science industry. For example, FDA-regulated pharmaceutical companies have laboratory and manufacturing processes that require calibration and validation by technicians trained in physical and engineering metrology.

Most metrology technicians in an FDA-regulated pharmaceutical company are highly competent and experienced in one or more of the physical disciplines of metrology (such as mass, thermo, electrical and radiometric). However, many are not experienced or specially qualified to conduct analytical instrument qualification (AIQ) that ideally requires a background in analytical measurement science and chemical metrology. Engineers and physical metrologists have the opportunity to provide many value-added benefits to their company if they also have the documented training and experience that allow them to excel in AIQ and other related analytical tasks involving calibration and validation.

In appreciation and gratitude of our American veterans for their military sacrifice and service to helping protect our country, Stranaska Scientific is pleased to offer a unique learning event to eligible job-seeking veterans that are pursuing engineering or certain science-related employment opportunities with FDA-regulated pharmaceutical companies. By successfully completing our special training session on chemical metrology with a focus on analytical UV/VIS spectrophotometric metrology, American veterans may now have more well-rounded resumes with key attributes that make them better qualified and prepared candidates for the employment hiring process.

Eligible job-seeking veterans may contact Dr. Jerry Messman for more information about this special training session and to see if this type of educational training is appropriate for them. Please e-mail Jerry at [email protected]. No walk-ins or phone calls please.
