Metal-on-Quartz Photometric Standards – STRANASKA ADVANTAGE

The production and certification of our CRM 500 metal-on-quartz (MOQ) photometric standard is under the direct supervision of Dr. Jerry Messman, Senior Analytical Scientist and Managing Director. During his extended tenure at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Dr. Messman had immediate responsibility for the high-accuracy spectrophotometry program which continued to produce and certify the original SRM 2031 metal-on-quartz standard. This unparalleled distinction of Dr. Messman’s scientific metrological background uniquely qualifies Stranaska Scientific as the only commercial laboratory in which specific production and certification designs of its CRM 500 photometric standard are underpinned by a credentialed analytical scientist and leader with proven and documented National Metrology Institute (NMI) experience, expertise and NIST heritage.
