For more than 25 years, the core business acumen of Stranaska Scientific LLC has been influenced by leading analytical chemists and scientists affiliated with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), formerly the National Bureau of Standards (NBS). This federal agency was established by the United States Congress and now represents this country’s national metrology institute.
Ever since his dual tenures at NIST and NBS in the Washington DC area, Jerry Messman has promoted science-based practices in analytical spectrophotometric metrology in the pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device industries. Much of Jerry’s professional career in analytical UV/VIS metrology has been devoted to using his company as an educational forum and means to improve or reinforce the scientific validity, credibility and defensibility of analytical spectrophotometric measurement assurance practices in customer FDA-regulated laboratories worldwide.
The Stranaska Analytical Metrology Education Center (SAMEC) is the operational unit of Stranaska Scientific LLC that serves as the focal point of educational outreach for the company.
