Jonathan D. Martinez – Analytical Metrology Scientist and Laboratory Leader

Doug holds a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry, with a minor in physics, from Stephen F. Austin State University (Nacogdoches, Texas USA). He has primary responsibility in overseeing the laboratory schedule to ensure a productive flow of the diverse calibration activities so that customer deliverable timelines are met or exceeded. His daily laboratory calibration and measurement service activities include transfer spectrophotometer operation, calibration data acquisition and calibration data/report review. Doug is actively involved in maintaining customer communications for scientific troubleshooting issues. In addition, Doug is actively involved in shipping, receiving and control of certified spectrophotometer reference material artifacts.

Doug’s poster presentation was entitled “Initialization Quality Control of a Higher-Order Transfer Absorption Spectrophotometer.” Doug also presented his poster the previous evening in Sci-Mix, a poster session and mixer consisting of abstracts selected by the program organizer that represents the most exceptional abstracts submitted to the meeting.
