Potassium Dichromate Solutions

STRANASKA® CRM 300
This reference material artifact is intended for the calibration and/or verification of the absorbance scales of molecular absorption spectrophotometers in the ultraviolet (UV) region of the electromagnetic spectrum. Different masses of the NIST SRM 935 series are solubilized in 0.001 N perchloric acid, providing certified solutions having absorbances up to nominal 3 AU. The solution/cuvette filters are provided in a protective canister for storage and transportation purposes. Each solution/cuvette filter is individually calibrated, relative to an air-only reference path, for apparent absorbance at four photometric test wavelengths (235.0 nm, 257.0 nm, 313.0 nm and 350.0 nm). Depending on the solution/cuvette filter configuration, the apparent absorbance results (each result represents the assigned value and its associated uncertainty) are provided in the Certificate of Calibration.

STRANASKA® CA2M 708
This reference material artifact is intended for the calibration and/or verification of the absorbance scales of molecular absorption spectrophotometers in the ultraviolet (UV) region of the electromagnetic spectrum. Derived from the NIST SRM 1935 series, it is comprised of two solution/cuvette filters. One filter is a sealed cuvette containing dilute sulfuric acid solution (serves as a blank reference), and the other filter is a sealed cuvette containing potassium dichromate in dilute sulfuric acid solution. When measured against the blank solution/cuvette filter, the potassium dichromate solution/cuvette filter provides nominal absorbance values over a photometric span of about 0.3 absorbance unit to 1.0 absorbance unit. The potassium dichromate solution/cuvette filter is calibrated, relative to the dilute sulfuric acid solution/cuvette filter, for apparent absorbance at four photometric test wavelengths (235.0 nm, 257.0 nm, 313.0 nm and 350.0 nm). A total of 4 apparent absorbance results (each result represents the assigned value and its associated uncertainty) are provided in the Certificate of Calibration. The two solution/cuvette filters are provided in a protective canister for storage and transportation purposes.
